Care

Waxed cotton canvas is a water resistant cotton which changes colour as it wears. The waxed canvas develops a natural patina over time, adding to the antique, vintage feel of the product.

Recommended care:

-As with all waxed canvas products, do not iron as this will cause the wax to melt.- Hand wash only with cold water and leave to dry away from natural light.

- If lunch bag is particularly dirty, use a soft brush to wipe away excess dirt before cleaning, using a mild soap/detergent and cold water on more stubborn areas.

- As with all waxed products, re-wax every 6-12 months to restore waxed cotton to top condition.

Sustainability & Transparency

All bags are handmade by me in my studio, allowing me to minimise waste, and reuse all scraps wherever possible.

The organic cotton crossweave is handwoven on small batch looms in India, specifically for my supplier. The yarn is GOTS certified, however my UK supplier is not GOTS registered and due to the extremely unique small batch nature of the fabrics its not possible for them to achieve GOTS certification.

The waxed canvas is sourced from two UK factories who have been making waxed canvas since the late 1800s, one in Scotland and one in England.
