Fernweh Shipping Policy
As each item is handmade to order, all orders are processed within 14 to 21 Business Days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
If you require your order by a specific date, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can try and accommodate this. Our contact email is fernwehuk@gmail.com
If there are delays in shipping your order, for examples postal service delays due to busier times of year, or high volume of orders, we will email you to let you know as soon as possible.
UK Shipping
We offer Royal Mail First Class shipping to all UK orders that fall under Royal Mail’s “Small Parcel” size for a flat rate of £4.
Smaller items that ship as Royal Mail’s “Large Letter” will be shipped for £2 First Class.
For larger items, such as our backpacks and larger tote bags that fall under Royal Mail’s “Medium Parcel” size, will be shipped via Royal Mail First Class Signed For, for £8.
These all have an estimated delivery time of 1-3 Business Days, but may take slightly longer at busier times of year, i.e. Christmas.
We also offer shipping upgrades to Tracked for the above rates, see below for options.

Studio Collection
We offer free studio collection for local orders in the Aberdeen area.
Our standard 14-21 day production times still apply to local pick up orders. We will send an email when your order is ready for collection. Please get in touch to organise booking a collection slot, as our studio is not open to the public and is only available to visit by appointment only.
Our in-store pickup hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
International Shipping
We offer international shipping. Please note, at this time, we do not ship to Russia.
Our International Shipping Rates are flat fees, depending on the destination country. Please be aware that delays are more likely with International Orders, as these are processed by several handling companies. There may also be delays at customs.

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Fernweh UK is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status, if applicable. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, or 21 days for International Orders, please contact us at fernwehuk@gmail.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
We accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at fernwehuk@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
